Sharon Sirkis: I'm from Silver Spring, Maryland - USA and LOVE reading your blog. I'm 52 and will be 53 during the olympics! I always feel so special as the winter olympics are always at my birthday time! I wish I could purchase clothing but we in the USA can't purchase what we want from the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Store -- that is a true bummer! Thanks for keeping us all so informed. It's wonderful and a great escape from the crazy daily grind.
Kerri: Hi, Congrats on winning JotW. You are a very enthusiatic person for your subject :) and it makes your journal interesting to read! If you come by my site comment on the post, a Canadian view would be interesting.

tom hill: Hi there. I've sent you a couple of emails about pin swapping with no response - wondering they might be going to your spam folder by mistake? Hope to hear from you

109 days to go – The Official books of the Games

by 2010vanfan

There are quite a few books in the works for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.  I think tonight we should all become familiar with what’s in the works!

109 - Official ProgramThe first is the Vancouver 2010 Official Souvenir Program.  It will be available in November, and is currently available for pre-sale for $17.85 (+ taxes and shipping) on the Vancouver 2010 website.  The program will be 148 pages and available in both English and French.  It will include photography, stories and information about all of the sporting events, venues and other tidbits.  It will include both the Olympic and Paralympic Games and is billed as “the ultimate collectible and keepsake of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.”

O SiyamThe next is O Siyam: Aboriginal Arts inspired by the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter GamesClick here for my previous post that includes information on this paperback book.  It will be available in November as well and is currently available for pre-sale at $35 + taxes and shipping.

Book A Path of Northern LightsThe third book is called A Path of Northern Lights/Une Traîneé D’Aurores Boréales and is the Vancouver 2010 Torch Relay book.  It will be a paperback and predominantly a photo book, documenting the Olympic Torch’s travels throughout Canada on its 45,000 kilometre journey!  It will be available in March, but is pre-selling now for $30 + taxes and shipping.

Book With Glowing HeartsThe next book is called With Glowing Hearts/Des Plus Brillants Exploits and is the Official Commemorative
